At Idaho Power, we are committed to innovation, customer choice and equal access to the electrical grid.
The number of Idaho Power customers choosing to install on-site generation — such as rooftop solar panels — is growing. Going forward, Idaho Power believes establishing new classes for residential and small general service customers with on-site generation is necessary to keep grid access and maintenance costs fair and equitable for everyone.
In July 2017, Idaho Power made a request with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to create these new customer classes. The IPUC is holding public case hearings March 1 in Boise and March 5 in Pocatello.
