Heart & Stroke Walk Thursday, May 16

Idaho Power is a proud sponsor and this year’s chair of the Treasure Valley Heart Walk. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease was the leading cause of U.S. deaths in 2017, killing over 630,000 people. This year’s goal is to raise $241,000. The event is hosted by the American Heart Association and raises funds for lifesaving research to combat heart disease and stroke.

Idaho Power invites you to join our more than 100 employees walking to help cure heart disease and stroke by signing up for the walk or donating today.

Event activities start at 6 p.m. at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian. There will be family-friendly activities and a free, heart-healthy baked potato bar served on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop by the Idaho Power booth where our safety professionals will train visitors in hands-only CPR and hand out free giveaways.

The 1-mile walk starts at 7 p.m. and is a fun way to get some exercise while encouraging healthy habits. Leashed dogs are welcome.
