Think Electrical and Driving Safety as School Starts

Like many companies, Idaho Power has employees who drive throughout our communities as part of their jobs. That’s why Idaho Power advocates for safe driving when children are returning to school and pedestrian traffic is higher. The energy company reminds all drivers to watch for children near roadways and crosswalks, and to use extra caution when around school buses and stops.

For those parents with children attending school at home or with younger children, Idaho Power advises you to inspect any cords around the house. Ensure they aren’t frayed or damaged and don’t pose a tripping or choking hazard to small children. Remind children that liquids and electricity don’t mix and to keep them far apart.
