The custom incentive is based on the lesser of two calculations:

  • 18 cents per kilowatt-hour(kWh) saved per year, or
  • 70 percent of the eligible project cost

Actual results may vary from project to project, but the average incentive amount customers receive is about 50 percent of the eligible project cost.

Program offerings include training and education regarding energy efficiency, energy auditing services for project identification and evaluation, and financial incentives for project implementation.

Idaho Power is also a founding supporter of the University of Idaho Integrated Design Lab which offers a variety of services, such as the Tool Loan Library.

Once your project is complete, submit a payment application as well as labor and material invoices. A Custom Projects engineer will contact you for a verification inspection if needed. When your project has been verified, we will provide you with your financial incentive check.
