Wendell Schools Recognized for Energy Efficiency Efforts

The Wendell School District has been an awesome partner in Idaho Power’s energy efficiency efforts. Since January 2018, the district saved more than 850,000 kilowatt hours — enough energy to power 74 homes for a year! Energy Advisor Leo Sanchez recently presented Wendell Superintendent Tim Perrigot with an incentive check for $16,983 to help pay for the energy-efficient upgrades.

Idaho Power is also proud to recognize Troy Fletcher’s recent selection as the Columbia River Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers’ “Wrench of the Year” award winner for outstanding contributions to energy efficiency. Fletcher, a maintenance employee for Wendell schools, has been key to the district’s energy efficiency efforts, which include participation in Idaho Power’s Continuous Energy Improvement Cohort for Schools program since 2017.
