Biologists from Idaho Power recently joined forces with Ducks Unlimited to improve wildlife habitat on property the company owns in Owyhee County. They hope repairs to dikes and drainage channels, along with increased beaver activity, will benefit wetlands in the Bruneau Delta.
The area of marshes and small islands, where the Bruneau River flows into the Snake River at C.J. Strike Reservoir, is both stopping place and permanent home to a wide variety of ducks, geese, shorebirds and aquatic animals.
