Think Electric for National Drive Electric Week

Have you ever considered an electric vehicle (EV)? Perhaps now’s the time. To celebrate all EVs have to offer — including zero tailpipe emissions, cost savings on fuel and a smooth ride  — Idaho Power is sponsoring National Drive Electric Week, happening now through Oct. 4.

As part of the festivities, the company encourages you to share photos of your EV and why you love driving electric on social media.

Idaho Power Research Assistant Shawn Lovewell feels good about driving her personal EV. “Since we have a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), it’s nice to know most of the energy used to fuel our car comes from clean sources,” Lovewell said.

IT Infrastructure Operations Manager Brian Weissinger drives an EV and enjoys how efficient and low maintenance it is. “I buy gas less than once per quarter, it rides really smoothly, it drives well in all weather conditions and it never breaks down!” Weissinger said.
