Permits for Key Transmission Project Move Ahead as Idaho Power Eyes Cleaner Future

Idaho Power is making progress on permits for a project that’s one of the company’s biggest in the last 60 years and a crucial asset in our goal to provide 100% clean energy by 2045: the Boardman to Hemingway (B2H) transmission line.

The Oregon Department of Energy recently held public hearings in the five eastern Oregon counties the 300-mile, 500-kilovolt line will cross. The period to submit public comments on the project is scheduled to wrap up Thursday, Aug. 22.

Idaho Power produced a brief video to explain the need for this clean energy pipeline. To learn more about B2H, check out the project’s website.
