Idaho Power’s Long-range Planning Process Continues with Thursday Meeting

Idaho Power’s long-range energy plan will be the focus of a day-long meeting Thursday, Jan. 10, at the company’s corporate headquarters in Boise.

This is the fifth public meeting held by the company as it develops its 2019 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) — a 20-year plan for supplying electricity to its customers. The meeting is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A panel of community members representing customers, environmental interests, industry, regulators and others make up the IRP Advisory Council. Council members and other attendees review presentations made by energy experts from Idaho Power and others. The IRPAC works with the company to determine future energy needs and the best mix of resources to meet those needs.
