Idaho Power Supports Arbor Day Grants, Tree Health

arbor day treeFor the last 16 years, Idaho Power has partnered with other utilities and the Idaho Department of Lands to support Arbor Day grants for communities to purchase trees, shrubs and related materials for Arbor Day celebrations. This year Idaho Power donated $7,000 to fund 45 Arbor Day grants of $300 each.

Grant applications are due to the Idaho Nursery & Landscape Association by March 23. Arbor Day is April 27.

Since 1997, Idaho Power has been recognized annually by the National Arbor Day Foundation for the company’s work and community involvement as a “Tree Line USA Utility.” This award commends Idaho Power for caring for the health of trees while removing branches and limbs growing too near power lines.
