Idaho Power’s 2019 summer engineering interns are headed back to their respective universities next week, armed with hands-on mechanical, electrical and civil engineering experience.
This year’s interns, who were mentored by seasoned Idaho Power engineers, took on projects related to streamflow forecasting, researching impacts of wind and solar on our distribution feeders, working with arc-flash data, analyzing Idaho and Oregon growth data, customer energy-efficiency opportunities and more.
Each summer, Idaho Power employs interns in groups like engineering, environmental and energy efficiency. This year, we are expanding our student opportunities by partnering with Work U, a division of Boise State University that promotes experiential learning.
An Idaho Power internship can be the beginning of a long and rewarding career. For more information about working at Idaho Power, and to learn about 2020 internship opportunities when they are announced, visit idahopower.com/careers.
