Idaho Power Earns Top J.D. Power Award in Segment for Business Customer Satisfaction

The company earned the top spot in the West Large Segment in the J.D. Power 2020 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study.

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Power received the highest customer satisfaction with business electric service customers among large utilities in the West in the J.D. Power 2020 Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study.

The company scored the highest among large utilities in the West in all study factors: Power Quality and Reliability, Corporate Citizenship, Price, Billing and Payment, Communications and Customer Contact.

Energy advisors work closely with businesses large and small to create personal solutions to satisfy each business’s unique needs. From energy-efficiency incentives and tips and energy-savings kits to increased communication and self-service portals, the company has worked hard to respond to the needs of area businesses — all while keeping business rates 30% below the national average. Idaho Power scored 58 points higher than the segment average. This study measures satisfaction among business customers of 86 targeted U.S. electric utilities that serve more than 40,000 business customers each. In aggregate, these utilities provide electricity to more than 12 million customers.
