Idaho Power Details Its Environmental, Social, and Governance Efforts

Idaho Power recently released its annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. The report outlines the company’s numerous efforts across all three ESG areas and provides an inside look at the company’s operations and the changing energy industry.

Highlights from 2021 include building a new fish hatchery dedicated to white sturgeon, donating almost $1 million to charitable organizations, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions from company-owned generation sources by 13% compared to 2020.

As called for in Idaho Power’s 2021 Integrated Resource Plan, the company has plans to end all participation in coal generation by the end of 2028 while making unprecedented investments in renewable energy.
