Helicopter Line Work Efficiently Addresses Reliability, Environmental Needs

Recently, Idaho Power took to the skies to complete reliability work in the Boise Foothills on a critical line that serves about 1,400 customers.

The high-flying job required two helicopters: one to move thousands of pounds of poles, and another to help hang equipment from the sky.

Using a helicopter has many benefits versus doing the work over land, including minimizing customer impacts and practicing good environmental stewardship. Both were top of mind on this important maintenance project.

A YouTube video showing the work is available for sharing and publication. Additional photos are available upon request.
