OXBOW, Oregon — Drivers in Hells Canyon should expect delays of up to two hours near Idaho Power’s Operations Center at Oxbow, Oregon, on Monday, Nov. 25, beginning at 2 p.m. MT, due to blasting as part of ongoing road work.

Crews have been widening the shoulder on this stretch of road between Oxbow and Hells Canyon dams since October. Work is now expected to be completed by mid-December. Traffic delays have been limited to 30 minutes or less. However, blasting will require delays of 45 minutes to two hours while crews prepare the area and clear the roadway afterward.

Idaho Power appreciates the public’s patience during this roadway improvement project.
