Power Lines

Idaho Power has more than 4,800 miles of high-voltage transmission lines across its service area. Transmission lines move electricity across long distances. These lines are typically 138,000 or 230,000 volts.

When there is space available on a transmission line, we transmit electricity for other companies. Idaho Power has a policy that allows open access to our transmission. We provide a wide range of transmission services on a non-discriminatory basis.
