Now is the time to retire your old second fridge or freezer for FREE! Idaho Power's Fridge and Freezer Recycling Program will end in Idaho on Dec. 31. Idaho Power has also filed a request with the Public Utility Commission of Oregon to end the program in Oregon, also effective Dec. 31.


Why Should I Recycle My Old Second Refrigerator or Freezer?

  • Get two FREE LED bulbs when you have your unit picked up for recycling.

Who Is Eligible?

The Fridge and Freezer Recycling program is offered to Idaho Power residential customers. The refrigerator or stand-alone freezer must be in working condition and must be plugged in at time of pickup.

Refrigerators and freezer units must be between 10 and 30 cubic feet using inside measurements. Please make sure the unit is empty and defrosted at the time of pickup and designate a clear access path. Additional program terms and conditions apply.
