Idaho Power Statement on Mountain Home Fire

MOUNTAIN HOME — Based on the company’s preliminary investigation, it appears that Idaho Power equipment may have been involved in igniting a brush fire on Tuesday in Mountain Home. The fire then spread to approximately 300 acres before being contained. The company will continue to cooperate with external agencies as the investigation continues.

“Our immediate priority is the community, customers, and first responders impacted by the fire,” said Lisa Grow, President and CEO. “Our thoughts are with all of those who suffered damage to their homes and property, and with the first responders impacted while bravely helping others to evacuate.”

Idaho Power is reaching out to customers who were impacted by the Mountain Home fire. The company also encourages anyone who suffered losses to submit a claim directly to Idaho Power at 208-388-2409. The company is committed to reviewing and responding to each claim promptly.

“We offer our sincere appreciation to all the first responders who helped care for the safety of our community and responded quickly to the fire,” added Grow. “We are committed to taking care of our customers in the days ahead.”
