Idaho Power Employees Give Back During Fall Power of Community Day

Idaho Power employees rolled up their sleeves this fall to support nonprofits and public spaces across the Treasure Valley and Twin Falls area. During the company’s biannual Power of Community Day, employees and their families volunteered on projects that help local organizations serve their communities.

Power of Community Day is a favorite Idaho Power tradition that gives employees a hands-on way to support the places where they live and work.

During the fall event, teams of teal-clad volunteers:

  • Sorted donated goods at the Boise Rescue Mission
  • Packed food at The Idaho Foodbank in Meridian
  • Completed landscaping and cleanup projects at the MK Nature Center in Boise
  • Plogged (jogging and walking while picking up litter) in downtown Boise
  • Cleaned up the Canyon Rim Trail in Twin Falls
  • Painted bowls for The Idaho Foodbank’s Empty Bowls fundraiser at Ceramica in Boise

A ready-to-post reel is available on Idaho Power’s YouTube channel , and photos from several volunteer projects are available for publication.
