BOISE, Idaho — IDACORP, Inc. (NYSE:IDA) announced following the Feb. 8 meeting of its board of directors the appointment of Annette G. Elg to serve on the boards of directors of both IDACORP and Idaho Power Company.
Elg served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the J.R. Simplot Company from August 2002 until her retirement in December 2016. She joined Simplot, one of the nation’s largest agribusiness companies, in 1989 and held various positions during her 27-year career, including Vice President and Corporate Controller and Vice President and Controller for the Food Group. Prior to her tenure at Simplot, Elg spent 10 years with the Boise office of Arthur Andersen LLP, where she served clients in a variety of industries. Elg was named to the board of directors of Cascade Bancorp in July 2014, where she serves on the Audit and Governance and Nominating Committees.
A 1978 graduate of the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics, Elg also has completed the Executive Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Idaho, and a member of the Idaho Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

An Idaho native, Elg is dedicated to community service and has served on the boards of Ballet Idaho, the Boise Art Museum, Boise Philharmonic Foundation and the Idaho Community Foundation. She currently sits on the President’s Advisory Council for the University of Idaho and is Chair of the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics Advisory Board. She was recognized for her contributions to the University and the State of Idaho with the University of Idaho Alumni Association’s Silver and Gold Award in 2012.
