Pine Creek Irrigation Grants Available
Idaho Power has initiated a water-efficiency pilot program in the Pine Creek Basin as part of relicensing efforts for its three Hells Canyon Dams. The program will begin in 2013 and will fund up to a total of $20,000 toward projects that will improve irrigation efficiency in the basin.
When a new federal license is issued, Idaho Power will implement a program to improve habitat for native trout in the Pine Creek Basin as well as the Indian Creek and Wildhorse River basins in Idaho. The Pine Creek pilot program will help the company develop irrigation efficiency programs as part of that effort.
Landowners must submit an application to Idaho Power by Feb. 15, 2013. Applications are available at City Hall in Halfway, Ore., or by contacting Steve Brink at Idaho Power, at email@example.com or 208-388-2224.
