Idaho Power provides access to the North Fork of the Payette River below the hydroelectric facility for fishing.

Lake Cascade is managed by the Bureau of Reclamation and is located on the North Fork of the Payette River in Valley County, near the cities of Cascade, Donnelly and McCall.
Lake Cascade State Park provides campgrounds and facilities dispersed around the lake in the Boise National Forest. It’s the fourth largest lake in the state. The lake contains perch, trout, smallmouth bass, kokanee and coho salmon and is a popular place for winter ice fishing. The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation operates the recreational facilities at Cascade reservoir.
Whitewater enthusiasts will find the Cascade area offers some of the finest canoeing, kayaking and rafting in the state.
