Roadwork Could Impact Traffic on Hells Canyon Road Through November

Idaho Power is working on several road improvement projects that will temporarily restrict traffic to one lane over the next six weeks.

OXBOW, Oregon — Temporary stoplights will be in place on Hells Canyon Road between Oxbow and Hells Canyon Dam beginning Monday, Oct. 19, as Idaho Power begins a series of road improvement projects. The work will reduce traffic to one lane in sections and is expected to last through November.

Motorists should use extra caution and expect delays of up to 30 minutes. Work will begin near Hells Canyon Dam and progress upstream. Traffic control will be in place around the clock for the duration of the work.
