Last week Idaho Power welcomed seven summer 2020 engineering interns, college undergraduates who will spend the next three months working with engineering teams across several Idaho Power departments — all from home.
It certainly wasn’t a typical first day for the new interns, who collected their work supplies and personal protective gear from the safety of their vehicles before heading home, where they tuned in virtually to be welcomed by company leaders.
Idaho Power has worked hard to ensure the company keeps its commitment to this year’s interns, who applied as early as last fall. This year’s interns will work alongside the company’s electrical, mechanical and water resource engineers, as well as participate in a community-based STEM project with interns from another local company.
