Idaho Power Senior Counsel David Stanish was recognized Nov. 16 at the Idaho Business Review’s annual Leaders in Law event in downtown Boise. Leaders in Law are named by their peers and scored in four categories: leadership in their profession, achievements, volunteer work and leadership in the community.
Stanish joined Idaho Power in 2014 and works on environmental, public lands, endangered species and cyber security matters. Before working at Idaho Power, he worked as an environmental attorney with the Idaho Attorney General’s office and the law firm of Holland and Hart in Boise.
After earning his bachelors in biology at the University of Albany, State University of New York, Stanish worked in wildlife management. He later joined a joint degree program at the University of Idaho where he earned a master’s in environmental science and a law degree.
He serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Idaho’s Greater Treasure Valley region, acting as a chair in 2016 and 2017.
