Donations Boost Salvation Army’s Project Share to Help with Energy Bills

IDACORP shareholders recently donated $25,000 to The Salvation Army, joining Idaho Power customer contributions of $171,000 for the 2022–23 Project Share season. This money provides energy-bill assistance to neighbors in need throughout southern Idaho and eastern Oregon.

Shareholders also contributed almost $17,000 to pay Salvation Army administrative costs for managing Project Share, ensuring 100% of customer donations help individuals and families.

This year marked the 40th anniversary of Project Share. The Idaho Power program, which is administered by The Salvation Army, assists customers experiencing hardships with their energy costs, including bills for electricity, natural gas, wood, propane, oil and coal.
