General Supplier Requirements

Note: Registering as a supplier will not necessarily result in your firm being added as an Idaho Power supplier. Supplier Registration Form.


General Insurance Requirements

Idaho Power reserves the right to set higher limits for specific projects.

  1. General Liability Insurance, with a combined single limit of $2,000,000 for each occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate.
  2. Automobile Liability Insurance, with a combined single limit of $2,000,000 for each person and $2,000,000 for each occurrence.
  3. Worker’s Compensation Insurance, in accordance with statutory requirements (waivers of subrogation).
  4. Professional Liability Insurance, with a limit of $2,000,000 annual aggregate.
    The Professional Liability Insurance requirement is only for contracts requiring professional services.

State Registration Requirements

The supplier must meet all applicable government registration and regulatory requirements.

The supplier must be registered to do business in the State of Idaho and, if work will be done in Oregon, must be registered to do business in the State of Oregon.

Construction Contractors

According to Idaho State Code, Title 54, Ch. 52, registration is required with the State of Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses.

Idaho Power expects contractors to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, those pertaining to environmental, safety, employment and child labor laws.

Idaho Power values the safety and health of its employees and conducts its operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Contractors are expected to provide a safe working environment that supports accident prevention and minimizes exposure to health risks.

Contractors are expected to comply with all applicable labor laws and regulations governing employee compensation and working hours.

Idaho Power respects the environment and conducts its operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Contractors are expected to conduct their operations in a way that protects the environment and complies with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in the areas they operate.
