Whether you stay in the campground facilities, or at other undeveloped campsites in the Hells Canyon area, it is the policy of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Idaho Power Company to limit camping to 14 days per stay.

You are required to remove all camping equipment (vehicles, recreation vehicles, tents, sleeping bags, cooking equipment and all personal possessions) and leave the area for at least 14 days between any consecutive 14-day stay.

When leaving the area, you must migrate a distance of 25 miles from your previous camping area before setting up camp again. Also, you cannot hold a campsite for future use by leaving camping equipment unattended at the site for future use for more than 24 hours. These rules were established to give equal camping opportunity to all visitors.

During your stay you must use appropriate sanitation facilities and remove all of your waste and trash when you leave. Please help us to maintain the incredible beauty of this area by leaving the site in better condition than when you found it.

If you have any comments or suggestions associated with this policy, we ask that you put your remarks in writing and send them to:
