Copperfield Park was built in 1965 and extensively remodeled in 1989. The park is situated on the old town site of Copperfield, Ore., a mining community known in the early 1900s as the rowdiest town in Oregon. Fire destroyed the town in August 1915.

Copperfield Park is located downstream of Oxbow Dam on the Oregon side of the Snake River. The park has 62 recreational vehicle sites with water, electricity, fire pits, and picnic tables. There are 10 tent sites with picnic tables, barbecue stands, and some mature trees. It also offers a convenient RV dump station, extra vehicle parking spaces, handicapped accessible restrooms with showers, and a large, grassy picnic area adjacent to the Snake River. A public pay phone is located near the park along Oregon Highway 86. A boat ramp is located on the Oregon side, six tenths of a mile downstream from the park, on Homestead Road. Facilities at the boat ramp include a double-lane concrete boat ramp, boat docks, parking, garbage receptacles and seasonal toilets. For driving directions, click here.

The Copperfield Boat Launch is about one mile downstream from Copperfield Park, on the Oregon side of Hells Canyon Reservoir. Facilities include a double-lane concrete boat ramp, boat docks, parking, garbage receptacles and seasonal toilets.

The Oxbow Boat Launch, a day-use only site, is located on the Oregon side of Oxbow Reservoir, about 10 miles downstream of Brownlee Dam and two miles upstream from Copperfield Park. This narrow strip of land is adjacent to Oregon 71. Facilities include a gravel boat ramp, docks, composting toilet, garbage pickup and parking.

Idaho Power maintains three other parks in the Hells Canyon area: Hells Canyon, McCormick, and Woodhead.
