Construction of the new 138-kV transmission line between Cambridge, McCall

- Tap the existing Boise Bench – Brownlee 230-kV transmission line
located near Cambridge, Idaho.
- Construct the new 230/138-kV Horse Flat Substation in the immediate vicinity of the
tap point just west of Cambridge.
- Construct a new 138-kV transmission line from Horse Flat Substation
to another new substation located north of Council, Idaho (the Starkey
Substation).
- The transmission line will be built using H-frame
(PDF, 628KB) structures.
- Construct the new 138/69-kV Starkey Substation.
- Connect the existing Oxbow to McCall 138-kV and the Cambridge to New Meadows
69-kV transmission lines to the new Starkey Substation.
- This segment is planned to be operational by Nov. 1, 2006.
- Upgrade the existing 69-kV line from Starkey Substation to McCall Substation.
- Convert Tamarack, New Meadows and McCall substations to 138-kV.
- The transmission line will be built using H-frame and single pole (PDF, 628KB) structures.
- This segment is planned to be operational by Nov. 1, 2007.
- Upgrade the existing 69-kV line from McCall Substation to Lake Fork Substation.
- The transmission line will be built using H-frame and single pole (PDF, 628KB) structures.
- This segment is planned to be constructed by Aug. 2007.
