Idaho Power Company Appoints Jeff L. Malmen Vice President, Public Affairs

IDACORP, Inc. (NYSE:IDA) and Idaho Power Company announced today the retirement of Vice President, Public Affairs Gregory W. Panter and the subsequent appointment of Jeff L. Malmen to the position of vice president, Public Affairs effective Oct. 1.

Panter served in various positions at Idaho Power over the past 21 years.

Malmen joined the company in December 2007 in preparation for Panter’s retirement.

“Effectively managing the myriad of public policy issues related to energy and the environment is critical to our company and customers,” said Keen. “In his short tenure with the company, Jeff is already making a difference. His experience with local, regional and national issues complements the abilities of our executive team.”

Malmen most recently served as chief of staff for Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter. He also was Otter’s chief of staff during his time in the U.S. House of Representatives. Additionally, Malmen held key leadership positions in the service of two previous Idaho governors, serving as Gov. Phil Batt’s chief of staff and as the administrator of the Division of Financial Management for Gov. Dirk Kempthorne.
