Ada County Parade Homes Earn Energy Efficiency Awards
The Building Contractors Association of Ada County presented its 2008 Parade of Homes Energy Efficient Design and Construction Awards, sponsored by Idaho Power.

The award, presented on April 26, recognizes Parade builders who successfully integrated energy efficient features into their Parade homes. Homes were judged on energy efficiency measures in HVAC systems, building envelope, appliances, lighting, building design principles, and construction processes and management methods.

2008 Canyon County ENERGY STAR Parade of Homes

ENERGY STAR® homes outnumber other entries in the 2008 Canyon County Parade of Homes. Twelve of the 18 newly constructed homes, located in Nampa and Caldwell, have earned the ENERGY STAR label.

Through June 29, you can tour the homes on the weekend from 1 to 9 p.m. and weekdays from 5 to 9 p.m.

First 100 Percent ENERGY STAR Homes Community Premieres in Caldwell

The opening of Caldwell's first 100 percent ENERGY STAR community, Cedar Crossing, will be celebrated from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 28. Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas will recognize the accomplishment with a proclamation during a "block party" featuring informational booths, food, a live radio broadcast and a tour of the community's first six ENERGY STAR homes.

Cedar Crossing is located at 13447 Cedar Park Drive, Karcher (Idaho Highway 55) and Florida roads, south of the Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard.
