The process of preparing the 2009 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) will formally begin in the summer of 2008. Idaho Power will continue to work with major stakeholder representatives to develop this new plan.

Members of the environmental community, major industrial customers, irrigation representatives, state legislators, public utility commission representatives and others form the Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Council (IRPAC) and will make significant contributions to this plan. The 2009 IRP will reflect the combined knowledge and input from these representatives.

The 2009 Integrated Resource Plan will assume that during the planning period from 2009 through 2028, Idaho Power will be responsible for acquiring resources sufficient to serve all of its retail customers in its Idaho and Oregon service areas and will continue to operate as a vertically-integrated electric utility.
