Easy Upgrades offers incentives of up to $100,000 per site per year for qualifying energy-saving projects in commercial and industrial buildings. Eligible projects cover typical improvements to lighting and air conditioning systems, motors and motor controls, the building shell, plug loads, and more.
If you’re an Idaho Power commercial or industrial customer on Schedule 7 (Small General Service, Small Commercial), Schedule 9 (Large General Service, Large Commercial), or Schedule 19 (Large Power Service), click the links above to learn more about this exciting new program.
To start, submit a Preliminary Application (Pre-App). Upon Idaho Power’s review and acceptance, the Pre-App will reserve your project’s incentive funds for up to 90 days. For projects with expected incentive payments of more than $1,000, you must submit a Pre-App prior to initiating your project. Smaller projects, with incentive payments of $1,000 or less may elect to skip the Pre-App and just submit their Final Documentation for payment.
Incentives are only available for projects in Idaho initiated after Feb. 13, 2007. Projects initiated prior to that date are not eligible for this incentive. The Oregon Public Utility Commission approved expansion of this program for Oregon projects on May 8, 2007. Oregon projects initiated after that date are eligible for Easy Upgrades incentives.
This program is funded through the Conservation Charge collected monthly from all Idaho Power customers. The money collected through this funding charge is used to develop and operate energy conservation programs to help reduce the demand for electricity within the company's service area.
