Idaho Power administers two funds to support energy efficiency in the community. These funds are available for qualified projects implemented by customers in our Idaho service area.

The Small Projects Fund is for demonstration, research, and other direct kilowatt or kilowatt-hour savings projects that are otherwise not included in larger energy efficiency programs. The Education Fund is for training, education or promotion that, similarly, is not part of a larger program.

To receive financial support from either the Small Projects Fund or the Education Fund, projects must:

Additional consideration will be given to the number of customers that will benefit from the project, the customer segment served by the project, and the geographic reach of the project.

Customers interested in applying for money from one of these funds may do so by completing a Local Energy Efficiency Fund Application. Individual or organizational requests may not exceed $5,000 for either fund. Requests for funding will be reviewed upon receipt and are subject to approval by Idaho Power.

Funding for these grants comes from the Conservation Charge collected monthly from Idaho customers as approved by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.
