Idaho Power and the Idaho Office of Energy Resources present ENERGY STAR Homes Northwest, a new residential construction program designed to build homes that are 30 percent more efficient than those built to standard code.

Before you buy a new home or make an investment in Idaho real estate, make sure you have the facts. Treasure Valley-area ENERGY STAR® homes are independently certified by the Idaho Office of Energy Resources and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as more efficient, comfortable and durable than standard homes constructed according to local building codes.

Learn Why Behind the Walls is What Really Counts
All new homes look great from the outside. But to make sure that your next new home is truly energy efficient, it's important to look "behind the walls."

Homes that earn the ENERGY STAR include four "must have" features behind the walls that will make you more comfortable, reduce utility bills, and help protect the environment.
