The Peak Rewards Program uses an electronic timer to turn off irrigation pumps weekdays between 4 and 8 p.m. during June, July and August. These are times when maximum irrigation loads and air conditioning loads coincide and place the greatest demand on the company’s resources. This program helps reduce some of that demand.
Irrigators who choose to have service interrupted either one, two or three weekdays will receive a credit based on billing demand. The three options and corresponding incentives are:
The installation of the electronic timers is free for all service points totaling 100 horsepower and above. A one-time installation charge of $250 will be included on the June bill for all newly enrolled service points that are between 75 and 99 horsepower.
