Designing and building efficiently up front will provide you with savings on your electric bill every month. In addition, Idaho Power can provide you with an incentive designed to offset a significant share of your additional capital expenses. This is available through Idaho Power's Building Efficiency program launched in April 2005 and expanded and enhanced effective January 2007.
If you’re planning a commercial construction project, are or will be an Idaho Power customer on Schedule 7 (Small General Service, Small Commercial), Schedule 9 (Large General Service, Large Commercial), or Schedule 19 (Large Power Service, Large Industrial), click the links from this page to learn more about this exciting program.
Incentive funds are limited and are reserved for projects that submit a pre-application. It will put you in line for available incentive funds, reserving an incentive for your project. It can also be used to request additional information on a variety of energy-saving technologies.
Please note that the former incentive levels in place through Dec. 15, 2006 have been changed. The prior program has been expanded and enhanced for 2007. Idaho Power reserves the right to adjust incentive levels or remove eligible measures from the menu.
This program is funded through the Conservation Program Funding Charge that is assessed monthly to all Idaho Power customers. The money collected through this funding charge is used to develop and operate energy conservation programs to help reduce the demand for electricity within the company's service area.
