Our Energy Future
Project Share: Caring and Sharing
Project Share is a valuable community service providing voluntary contributions to those needing help paying their energy bills.
Idaho Power started Project Share nearly three decades ago.
During the last program year, more than 6,300 individuals in our communities benefited from Project Share to keep their homes warm during cold winter months and cool during hot summer days.
Customers unable to pay energy bills due to illness, disability, age or unemployment are eligible.
Project Share funding is provided by both Idaho Power and Intermountain Gas customers and shareowners, other utilities and private donations.
One hundred percent of customers’ donations go to Project Share recipients. The Salvation Army of Ada County administers the program.
Project Share supplies the most assistance from Oct. 1 through April 30. For special circumstances during other times of the year, customers should contact The Salvation Army.
