Brownlee Reservoir Three-Day Average Inflow:
|
Idaho Power will begin its 2009 fall Chinook Program spawning flow for the Snake River below Hells Canyon Dam at midnight on Wednesday October 14. The spawning flow will be a flat release of approximately 9, 000 cfs that will be maintained through the first or second week of December 2009, at which time normal operations will resume. As a result of the 2009 Fall Chinook program, Brownlee reservoir will be at elevation 2,033 feet above mean sea level, on October 14. The draft of Brownlee is necessary to capture inflow to the reservoir that will be in excess of the flat spawning flow release. The Brownlee reservoir boat ramps that will be usable in October will be limited to Woodhead Park. More ramps will become available as Brownlee fills during the Fall Chinook spawning period. |
