About the Idaho Power Watershed Plan:

Idaho Power’s watershed plan is a proposal for all stakeholders including governments, land owners and water users to work together to improve water quality. The plan is designed to provide for a way to establish a water quality level that sustains viable ecosystems for aquatic life to thrive.

Idaho Power is proposing to contribute close to $3 million per year as well as technical staff and our expertise of the Snake River and its ecosystem. The goal of the plan is to improve temperature conditions in the river for important fish and wildlife that live there. We are proposing to do it in a way that would also help improve other water quality problems in the river such as excessive sediment and nutrients.

Our proposal is currently under review and Idaho Power is in the process of seeking approval by state regulators to implement the program.
