Pending local governmental approval, a fee program will be implemented for C.J. Strike parks: North Park, Scout Park, Locust Park, and Cottonwood Park. Fee collection will begin in the summer of 2012, however day use to all parks remains free. Improvements have been made at these campgrounds including new designated campsites and spurs, parking, roadways, picnic tables, fire rings, restroom improvements, a fish cleaning station, enhanced boat launching facilities and interpretation/educational exhibits.

The amount of the proposed recreation fee is in line with fees charged at the other campgrounds within the general area with consideration to the benefits and services provided to the visitor. Camping fees will be posted at North Park, Scout Park, Locust Park, and Cottonwood Park and collection will take place utilizing a self-service pay station at each park.

Recreation facilities at C.J. Strike have been developed and furnished by Idaho Power as a public service. All facilities are open to the public without discrimination and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations are not accepted.

Water in the camping areas is shut-off when winter rates are in effect. Restroom buildings at North and Scout Parks have water year-round.

There are no sewer hookups at individual camping spaces, but there are 2 RV dump stations available (1) near the Power Plant and (2) at the C.J. Wildlife Management Headquarters. The RV dump stations are closed during the winter season.

The information below provides details about proposed fees and rules for the C.J. Strike area facilities.

Tent campers occupying a designated RV space will be charged the normal nightly fee for an RV space as specified at each park. A maximum number of three tents may be set up in an RV space at one time, if there is enough room.

The park facilities are provided and regulated in accordance with section 10(a) of the Federal Power Act. Consistent with applicable laws, rules and regulations, reasonable fees are charged for the use of the park facilities at the C.J. Strike developments. All rates apply per site, per night, per season.
