Green Power Resources
Idaho Power's Green Power Program purchases green power through the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). There are several wind resources that may be used to supply the power, but through our partnership with BEF, Idaho Power ensures the green power in our program is:
- Sourced locally from projects located in the Northwest.
- Reviewed to ensure the projects meet rigorous environmental siting and operations criteria endorsed by three leading environmental organizations:
- Certified to ensure each transaction meets strict consumer-protection and environmental standards.
In 2010 Idaho Power's Green Power Program purchased green power from the sources below. All Green Tags (or Renewable Energy Certificates) associated with these projects have been retired on behalf of our Green Power Program participants. Information on purchases for 2011 will be available in early 2012.
