Shawver Named Communications Director

BOISE, IDAHO – Idaho Power has selected Brigadier General Bill Shawver, 37-year veteran and commander of the Idaho Air National Guard and former director of the state’s Bureau of Homeland Security, to be director of Corporate Communications.

“Bill brings great experience in leadership, program management, communication and incident response, and we’re excited to have him on board,” said Jeff Malmen, vice president of Public Affairs.has an associate degree, 1989, and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree, 1992, from Boise State University, with emphasis in marketing and management. He’ll lead a staff of employees covering external and internal communications, marketing and creative services.

He starts Tuesday, Sept. 4.
