Cook Up Some Savings At A Free Class Monday
Idaho Power’s 2009 Energy Efficiency and Green Living Series of free classes continues in Boise at the Boise Public Library. Join us this Monday, Oct. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. for Cooking Up Savings at Home. This second class of the series will focus on saving time, money and energy as you bring energy efficient cooking methods and green techniques into your kitchen.
There are a lot of ways you can choose to go green at home, and your kitchen is a great place to start. Extension educator Rhea Lanting will reintroduce the pressure pot and the slow cooker, acquaint you with the solar oven and inspire you with results from her microwave and Panini grill. You’ll leave with household tips and recipes—excited about the healthy meals you can produce efficiently in your own home.
These free classes and workshops teach you how you can reduce your energy use. For more information, complete class descriptions or to register for classes, visit: www.idahopower.com/eeclasses or call 208-388-6075.
