Revegetation efforts continue at an east Boise subdivision where high winds caused a large brush fire Aug. 25, 2008.

Idaho Power along with city and county agencies worked collaboratively assisting residents impacted by the fire and implementing remedial measures in the area. These included sharing fire prevention actions (PDF) and taking care of land revegetation. Efforts since 2009 include:

• Spraying noxious weeds to control growth
• Mowing and maintaining a buffer area
• Reseeding the area to support natural vegetation
