Students For Energy Efficiency

As a neighbor and community partner, Idaho Power has created the Students for Energy Efficiency program to give Idaho students the opportunity to participate in energy assessments for their schools.
Students use science and math skills to evaluate where energy consumption improvements can and should be made at their school.
Lead The Charge Toward Energy Efficiency in Schools
Students at Idaho schools interested in improving their school’s energy consumption are invited to participate in the Students for Energy Efficiency program.
Offered in cooperation with the Idaho Office of Energy Resources (OER) audit process, the program allows students to conduct energy assessments involving lighting and report key findings to school officials.
Teacher sponsors and small student teams drive the project from start to finish based on a flexible schedule with Idaho Power training and guidance along the way.
Participation benefits for both teachers and students are plentiful and the key findings are instrumental in helping schools identify energy-saving ways to save money on energy bills.
Teacher sponsors interested in participating in the program, may review the Program Overview.
