1. Who can participate?
Idaho Power’s Home Products Program incentives are applicable to residential customers only, living in single and multi-family residences, including manufactured and modular homes, with an active Idaho Power account. The product purchased must be installed in a home within Idaho Power’s service area. Incentives are only paid to the customer who is listed on the Idaho Power account.
2. Which ENERGY STAR home products qualify for an incentive?
- Clothes washers - $50
Must have been purchased on or after April 1, 2008 for Idaho customers and on or after May 21, 2008 for Oregon customers.
- Refrigerators - $30
Must have been purchased on or after August 1, 2008. Refrigerators must be larger than 7.75 cubic feet to qualify for an incentive.
- Light fixtures - Up to $15 per fixture.
Incentive not to exceed purchase price. Must have been purchased on or after August 1, 2008.
- Ceiling fans with light kits - Up to $20 per fixture.
Incentive not to exceed purchase price. Must have been purchased on or after August 1, 2008. Only ceiling fans with light kits and ceiling fan light kits will qualify for incentives. Ceiling fans without lights do not qualify.
3. How can I tell if I purchased a qualifying product?
The home product(s) purchased must be certified as an ENERGY STAR qualified product. View a list of qualified models. Idaho Power will not pay incentives for products that are mislabeled, misrepresented or have been removed from the ENERGY STAR qualified list. Some models that may have previously qualified as ENERGY STAR, may no longer qualify due to updated specifications.
4. How do I receive an incentive?
- Purchase a new ENERGY STAR qualified home product listed above.
- Print out incentive application . Note: Some stores may provide an Idaho Power incentive form.
- Complete the incentive application, including your signature. Incomplete forms may be delayed or denied.
- Make a copy of the completed incentive application and sales receipt for your records.
- Mail the application, and the itemized sales receipt within 90 days of purchase to:

5. How long will it take for me to receive my incentive?
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing of incentive.
6. Will Idaho Power offer incentives on other ENERGY STAR qualified products in the future?
Idaho Power is routinely evaluating opportunities for new programs and offerings to help our customers save energy. New programs will be announced on Idaho Power’s Web site, through bill inserts or our Customer Connection newsletter.
