Heating and Cooling Efficiency Program Incentives
The following provides information on the various incentives and qualifications available to residential customers for the purchase of qualified high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment.

Replacing an existing air source heat pump with a new air source heat pump:
Customer Incentive
$200; Minimum efficiency 8.2 HSPF
$250; Minimum efficiency 8.5 HSPF
Qualifications
- New heat pump must replace an existing heat pump
- Work must be performed by an installer who has gone through Idaho Power training and works for a participating company
- Equipment, sizing and installation must meet program guidelines

Replacing an existing electric, oil or propane heating system with a new air source heat pump. Note: Homes with oil or propane heating systems must be located in areas where natural gas is not available.
Customer Incentive
$300; Minimum efficiency 8.2 HSPF
$400; Minimum efficiency 8.5 HSPF
Qualifications
- New heat pump must replace an existing electric heating system or oil or propane heating system on homes in areas where natural gas is not available.
- For heat pumps replacing electric heating systems, the backup must be electric heat.
- Work must be performed by an installer who has gone through Idaho Power training and works for a participating company
- Equipment, sizing and installation must meet program guidelines

New construction: installing an air source heat pump in a new home:
