Easy Upgrades Program

Earn incentives up to $100,000 per site,
per year for qualifying energy-saving improvements to commercial or industrial buildings. Eligible projects cover lighting, air conditioning systems, plug loads and more.
You can improve efficiency of your lighting, cooling or other building electric systems while reducing the demand for electricity.
Starting January 5, 2009, we modified the Easy Upgrades program by offering enhanced incentives and covering more retrofit measures. To learn more about these changes, view the What’s New for 2009 brochure.
Eligibility

Incentive categories include the following (in PDF format):
Commercial and industrial customers are eligible for this program, including the following:
- Schedule 7 - Small General Service, Small Commercial
- Schedule 9 - Large General Service, Large Commercial
- Schedule 19 - Large Power Service, Large Industrial
Application Procedure
Upon Idaho Power’s review and acceptance, the preliminary stage Application (PDF) form* reserves your project’s incentive funds for up to 90 days. For projects with expected incentive payments of more than $1,000, you must submit a preliminary stage application prior to project completion. Smaller projects may elect to skip the preliminary stage application and just submit a final stage Application (PDF) form* for payment.
How To Proceed
Submit a preliminary stage Application (PDF) form* prior to project completion. Then, we'll send you an incentive acceptance with details on deadlines and next steps.
Once the project is complete, submit a final stage Application (PDF) form* and supporting documentation. Then we will process the application and pay the incentive.
Idaho Power reserves the right to adjust incentive levels or remove eligible measures from the menu.
* There is only one Application (PDF) form to complete. Prior to project completion the form is considered a “preliminary stage” application, and this should be indicated by checking the “Pre-App” check-box at the top of the application. After completion, the form is considered a “final stage” application and this should be indicated by checking the “Final App” check-box at the top of the application.
